Michael "Mike" Grey Roy
November 6, 1944 - November 21, 2020

Mike passed away at age 76 on November 21, 2020 at Santa Rosa Medical Center, Milton, Florida with his wife Barbara "Bobbie" Roy by his side.

Mike was born in Selma, Alabama and resided in Milton, Florida for over 50 years. He was a retired Navy veteran, serving from March 1962 to December 1981. While serving in the Navy, he was a First Class Petty Officer Aviation Electrician and also was a member of Search and Recuse (SAR). Mike retired from HT-18, NAS Whiting Field, Milton, Florida and after retirement he went on to work for several contractors on the TH-57's as a Quality Assurance Inspector (QA) retiring again in February 2006.

Mike also earned awards and metals while serving in the Navy: Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with Bronze Star, National Defense Service Medal, Navy Expeditionary Medal and Fourth Good Conduct Award.

Mike was a member of the Pace Masonic Lodge, No. 349, Pace, Florida. A Masonic Service for Mike will be held during visitation.

Mike enjoyed motorcycle and auto racing. He was also a member for over 16 years of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association, Chapter FL1-D, Pensacola, Florida, the home of the green Frogs.

Mike is survived by his wife, Barbara "Bobbie" Roy; his daughter Michelle Winters (Jesse) of Georgia and his son Michael Roy, Jr. (Bethany) of Florida. His grandchildren from Georgia: Kristen Buckner (Justin), Scott Normington, Kellie Wilkes (Wesley), Jessica Winters and his grandchildren from Florida: Greyson and Bethany Roy. He also has 7 great-children who live in Georgia: Kendall, Kassidy, Jorden, Riley, Olivia, Karlie and Kenlie.

Mike is also survived by his sister, Iris Gail Ferrari of Florida and his brother, Patrick Roy (Judy) of Alabama.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 from 5 - 7 pm at Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton, 6539 Trammel Drive (off of Stewart Street), Milton, Florida.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at 11:30 am at Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton with Military Honors to follow at Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS Pensacola, Florida

Dress with be causal as Mike liked his jeans, tee or long sleeve shirts and tennis shoes or his motorcycle boots if he was going to go riding on his Red 1800 Honda Gold Wing Trike or in his 2018 Blue and Black Slingshot.
