Obituary for Josephine Rebecca Garber
Josephine Rebecca Garber, 52, of Pace Florida passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 22, 2020.

She was born on December 05, 1967, in Silver Springs Maryland, as the youngest daughter of Clarence and Mary Ann Johnson.
Rebecca then spent her youth growing up in Boynton Beach, located in South Florida. She later graduated from Atlantic High School in the neighboring town of Delray Beach, Florida.
Upon graduation, Rebecca attended and graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. degree in Marketing.
After graduation, she held many retail positions, including Store Manager and Mall Manager.
In 1990, Rebecca married her high school sweetheart, Thor Garber. In 1996, she gave birth to Spenser Garber, her only son.
In 2001, she and her family moved to Pensacola, Florida. She continued in retail until later taking an office position at Pensacola State College.
In her last 5 years of life, Rebecca became too ill to work, due to undiagnosed masses in her brain stem. Her body slowly failed her until she became bed bound, at which point she committed her body to Heaven on November 22, 2020.
Rebecca is survived by her mother, Mary Ann Johnson; her older sister, Vickie Johnson; her husband of 30 years, Thor Garber; her son and daughter-in-law, Spenser and Ashley Garber; her mother-in-law, Pat Garber; and her brother-in-law and his wife, Tyr and Linda Garber.
There was a sweetness and inner light to Rebecca that is difficult to describe. It was clear for all to see that Rebecca loved the Lord. Her love of adventure, her fun-loving attitude, her charming smile and winsome laugh, and her dedication to family were only a few of Rebecca’s wonderful qualities. She was beloved by all she met and will indeed be missed by all who knew her.
Rebecca is most certainly with the Lord in Heaven now. No longer in pain. But rather rejoicing.
Funeral service will be on Friday, November 27, 2020 held at Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton. Visitation is at from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with service to follow at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Serenity Gardens Cemetery.
