Charles A. Bennett, Sr
September 13, 1920 – November 20, 2020
Charles A. Bennett, Sr was born in North Carolina in 1920 where he received multiple honors in school and Boy Scouts. As US involvement in World War II was impending, he joined the Navy and made a career of it. There, too, he was given multiple honors. Upon retiring from the Navy, he went to Florida State University for a degree in teaching. He taught the various sciences, particularly Physics, Anatomy, and Physiology for 26 years at Escambia High School. He was a favorite among students and staff.
He was married to Hallie Jo Johnson Bennett for 44 years until her death. He then married Anne Bailey (Johnson) Bennett for over 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, son, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He will be missed by many who have fond memories of him.
