Georgia Marie Skeens, 92, of Milton, passed away on January 5, 2021 She was a native of Thomas, KY and resided in Milton since 1971, where she was a member of First Baptist Church.
During her life as a military wife and mother she volunteered for the American Red Cross and worked for First Baptist Church in their nursery for over 20 years. She also was a Plus 50 member of the Alamogordo New Mexico Chapter of the Order of The Eastern Star.
Georgia was preceded in death by: her husband of 68 years, Ray C. Skeens; her parents, James and Edna Sesco; her two brothers, L.C. Sesco, Bill Sesco; and her two sisters, Garnet Lawson, and Lynn Riley.
Georgia is survived by: her three children: Patricia Borkowski, Diana Teague, and Kenneth (Linda) Skeens; five grandchildren: Diana King, Nicholas (Angela) Borkowski , Shanna Rae Johnson, Jeremy (Christie) Johnson and Katie Ann (David) Corey; and six great grandchildren: Mathew Borkowski, Tara Borkowski, Kiley Borkowski, Keira Borkowski, Brannon Johnson, and Vanessa Johnson.
Visitation will be from 1:00 until the funeral service begins at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Trahan Family Funeral Home, Milton Chapel.
Burial will follow at Serenity Gardens Cemetery.
