Obituary for Carlita Sophia Garcia
Today we celebrate the beautiful, kind, and the most giving spirit of Carlita Sophia Adams Garcia.
She was born and raised in Pensacola, FL by her parents Samuel and Mary Adams. She has an identical twin sister Carletta and three younger brothers Sam, Eric, and Sean.
Carlita and Carletta knew everyone and everyone knew them. Individually they had their own personality, but they always band together when they needed to, and everyone paid attention when the twins came through. Carlita and her sister shared the strength and wisdom inherited from their Mother and Father. They took pride in helping their parents take care of the household and their little brothers.
Carlita had a special bond with each of her brothers, which carried on throughout all stages of her life. Carlita and her sister continued to help their family’s household when their mother passed away 3 years ago. They made especially sure to care for their beloved father Samuel, who was nothing but proud of the caring women they came to be.
Carlita also started a home of her own when she had her first child Tabatha Garcia. Additionally, she had two more children, her second oldest daughter Naomi Garcia, and her youngest child as well as only son, Daniel Jr. Garcia. Carlita was the most loving, devoted, and supportive mother to her children. She shared a connection with them that only a mother could share. No matter how old they got she would still call them her babies.
Whenever her children were in pain or in need, Carlita was there before they could even ask. She knew instinctively what their needs were and was the upmost attentive when caring for them. Her children, due to being forever grateful for her affection and love would do anything for their mom. In turn, it was that strength in the bond between her children that made Carlita beam with pride. Carlita not only lent support when needed but made sure her children were brought up to be as strong and independent as herself. They each have inspiring careers and plan to continue to live their life honoring their mother’s legacy and memory.
When Carlita wasn’t tending to her children, she worked with other children in need. Her passion was caring for others and it showed whenever she worked with children. Whether it be when she worked in daycare centers, schools, or helped her children’s friends, Carlita made sure that no child was left feeling alone or helpless. She believed that as long as you paid attention to each individual child and acknowledged their feelings that, that alone could help a child succeed. She helped numerous children live up to their potential and those children were always sure to acknowledge her help. She would always receive gifts and tokens of their appreciation throughout the years she worked in childcare.
She also helped take care of her nieces and nephews: Julious, Maliya, Iesha, Ereka, Eric Jr., Eriel, Gabby, Sarah, and Hannah.
To everyone that was around her, her presence brought joy and warmth. Carlita was a true woman of God as her faith was effortless. Through all her trials and tribulations, her devotion to God never wavered and she would speak his name upon all who were close. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. The work she has done while on Earth is only the beginning and she has made everyone blessed for witnessing it.
