Shallie Daleton Patterson, 53, a long-time resident of Pensacola, went home to be with his Lord on August 17, 2016. He was born the 2nd child of 3 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi on April 26, 1963 to Pastor and Mrs. Patterson. Daleton graduated from Picayune, Mississippi, Class of 1981.
After graduation he attended Pensacola Junior College and then studied music at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and began his life of ministry.
Daleton was creative, passionate, and possessed a love for people which was his life’s work. Whether it was working with senior adults, choirs, or creating beautiful flowers for others later in his life. He was exceptionally talented at it all. He never met a stranger and lit up any room he entered with his magnetic personality. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Daleton is preceded in death by his brothers, Jeffery and Anthony Patterson.
He is survived by his 2 daughters, Brandi (Josh) Hadden and Shallie Patterson; 1 grandson, Jackson Hadden; parents, Dale and Louise Patterson; former wife and friend, Jamie Nemith; and a host of other loving family members and friends.
On Saturday, August 20, 2016, a visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral service begins at 2:00 p.m. at East Brent Baptist Church. The family will have a private burial at a later date in Mississippi. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Covenant Care, Bellview Baptist Church Music Ministry, and/or East Brent Baptist Building Fund. Trahan Family Funeral Home of Pensacola is in charge of arrangements.
