Obituary for James Edwin Ogle Sr.
Jim believed in God and family first. He was an avid hunter and fisherman for most of his life and passed it down to his children the love and respect of the great outdoors.
Jim volunteered with the Warrington Volunteer Fire Department for 13 years and retired as Assistant Chief to spend more time with his wife and children.
Jim leaves behind: his beloved wife and partner of 33 years, Melodi; four children: Stacey, Jimmy (and spouse, Wendie), Savannah, and Dorothy; his sister, Mary Ann (and spouse, Tony Laird); brother, Floyd (and spouse, Phyllis); eight grandchildren: Angela, Cody, Hunter, DeeAnn, Christopher, Ronald, Alana and Autumn; and countless nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the funeral service begins at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Trahan Family Funeral Home, 419 Yoakum Court, Pensacola. He will be laid to rest at Pensacola Memorial Gardens.
Jim’s youngest grandchildren, Autumn (5) and Alana (6), wake up each morning, run outside and look at the clouds floating by and say, “Hi Papa, we love you.”
He will be greatly missed and loved, but never forgotten for the love, lessons, and values he has instilled upon all of us – especially his grandchildren.
