Westry
Obituary for Constantine Westry
He was born on September 1, 1935, in Pensacola, Florida to the late David and Charlotte Bell Westry. He spent most of his life in the Pensacola Area. He graduated from Booker T. Washington High-school. He served in the U.S army. He later moved to Chicago, Illinois.
He joined Emanuel Baptist Church at an early age. Then, he joined Pleasant Hill Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Lonnie Wesley. He continued his Christian walk under the leadership of Rev. J.K. Smith of Mt. Pilgrim AMB church in Milton, Florida.
He leaves to cherish his memories four children; two boys, Louis C. Westry and Larry Westry, and two girls, Pamela Nelso (Robert) and Leola Myron Harrell (Lawrence) of Chicago; his seven sisters, Johnnie Moe Ford of Milton, Trudy Watson, Emma Hopkins, Rosa Nell MilMillian, Lois Ann Baskin, Joyee Tolbert, all of Pensacola, and Eleanor Fears (Ralph) of Chicago, Illinois; he leaves three brothers, Jimmie Tolbert (Betty), Johnny Tolbert of Pensacola, and Anthony Turner of Houston, Texas; nine grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
Visitation will be on July 15, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. until service starts at 11:00 a.m, all at Mt. Pilgrim African Missionary Baptist Church. Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton is in charge of arrangements.
