Obituary for Lula Ann Roukema
1936 – 2017
Lula Ann Roukema, 81, of Pensacola, went home peacefully to the Lord on November 19, 2017. Before Lula spent 42 years in Pensacola, she was born and raised in Salem, West Virginia.
As a military wife she traveled up and down the East Coast raising their three children. Lula was involved in Seventh Day Baptist Church. She also loved volunteering with her children’s PTA, nursing home activities, and military wives club.
Lula is preceded in death by her parents: Laurence and Edna Davis; brothers: Carlton, Edsel, and Robert; and sisters: Juanima and Devera.
She is survived by her children: Pamela (Robert) Carnley, Lori (Larry) Jobe, and Edward Roukema III; grandson: Robert Carnley; step grandchildren: Shane (Chasity) Jobe and Rachele Jobe; step great grandchildren: Bryson, Caitlin and Ryan; sisters: Glenna Vanpelt, Carolyn (Dale) Hutson, Donna Ash, Elaine (Ronald) Marks, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will be holding a visitation for Lula at Trahan Family Funeral Home, Wednesday, November 22, 2017, from 2:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. The memorial service will follow at 3:30 p.m.
Trahan Family Funeral Home will be taking care of arrangements.
