Obituary for Paul Monroe Fleischman

Paul Monroe Fleischman
Mr. Paul Monroe Fleischman, 40, of Pace, FL, was welcomed into God's loving arms on Monday, February 26, 2018.

Mr. Tom Fleischman and Ms. Helen Fleischman, both of Pensacola, became the proud parents of Paul, their only child, on August 22, 1977.

Paul was born in Orange, California and spent most of his life in Pensacola, FL. He graduated from Woodham High School in 1995. He then started his educational journey at Pensacola Junior College where he also played baseball. His baseball career continued as he transferred from PJC to the University of West Florida where he received his Bachelor Degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science. After college, he was a member of Gold’s Gym, became an employee and quickly a manager of the Davis Highway location. While at Gold’s he became inspired to serve our community as a law enforcement officer. He attended the Florida Law Enforcement Academy and upon completion, he signed on with the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office. He later advanced his career within the State of Florida’s Division of Alcohol, Beverage and Tobacco relocating to Orlando. He eventually transferred to the Panama City office and again to the Pensacola office where he was a Special Agent within the district. Feeling again as though he had more to give, he continued his education in the evenings and received a Bachelor Degree in Nursing from the University of West Florida. While continuing to serve our community as an ABT agent, ensuring anyone underage did not have access to alcohol and tobacco, he also took shifts as a Registered Nurse on the weekends at Santa Rosa Medical Center. Paul was dedicated to both fields of work and left a lasting impact on those he served beside. He was accepted by the Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of West Florida and was currently working on his graduate degree.

Even with his busy schedule, his main focus was always his family. He was a dedicated husband to his wife Lisa and a loving father for his two daughters; Eden and Adleigh. Paul enjoyed exercising, playing golf, and softball in his spare time. He was an avid Florida Gators fan and enjoyed traveling to Gainesville every season with family and friends to cheer on the team he loved. He will be remembered for his generosity, kindness, sense of humor, selflessness, and integrity.

Paul was a member of Woodbine Methodist Church in Pace, Florida.

In addition to his parents, Paul will be deeply missed by his wife and best friend, Mrs. Lisa (Billings) Fleischman; his daughters, Eden and Adleigh, half brother and sister, Brent and Heather, and his lifetime friends, Casey Dull of Pensacola, Florida and Peter Duke of Birmingham, Alabama.

A funeral to celebrate Paul's life will be held at 3pm on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Woodbine Methodist Church in Pace, FL with Pastor Jimmy Allen presiding.
