Ernest “Norman” Tarkus
Ernest “Norman” Tarkus passed away suddenly on July 11, 2018 at the age of 64. He was born in Pensacola, Florida on November 3, 1953. He lived all of his life in Pensacola.
Norman was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Pauline. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Erich and Annie Tarkus; his brothers Leamon and Eric; and his sisters Sandra and Linda.
Norman spent over 40 years in the amusement business and was the proud owner of AAA Amusement and was also the owner of "Rack & Cue".
Norman is survived by his girlfriend, Susie Games; children, Lisa Cato, Ernest Tarkus (Sarah), and Sheila Mack (Neal) all of Pensacola.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his grandchildren Kaylyn, Ragina, and Nathan Zimmerman, Dylan Miller, Michel Mack, Mariah Mack, James Tarkus, and Maylan Mack.
Norman had two lifelong friends-- John Hartley and Tony Harris.
Norman's hobbies included fishing, cooking, collecting cookbooks, and going to Wind Creek Casino. He loved eating meals and having fun with friends and family.
Visitation will be at Trahan Funeral Home on Monday, July 16th from 5:00 to 7:00. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 17th at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Episcopal Church with Reverend Rob Dixon officiating. Burial will follow at Jordan Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: John Hartley (honorary) Chris Gibbs, Robert Helmer, Fred Hutcherson, Doyle Sledge, Tony Watts, and Todd Williams.
