Obituary for Sharon Ann Smith

Sharon Ann  Smith
Sharon Smith, 70, of Gadsden, AL passed away on July 19, 2018. She was born October 6, 1947 in Knoxville, TN. Mom was raised on a tobacco farm in Knoxville TN and was the 12th of 13 children. She attended Gibbs High school after which she married Harold Richard Clevenger, Sr and started our family in 1964. She also attended beauty school and business college.
Sharon loved to clog, she loved bluegrass and Christian music plus she had a heart for single parents.
She had been a realtor since 1992 and won several awards throughout her career, including ABWA woman of the year where she also served as president. And Sharon also served on the Beautification Committee of Gadsden.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Dillard and Grace; brothers, Whitney, Everette, and Tilman; sisters Joyce Manuel, Madeline Walden, Elaine Martin, Jane Breeden and Alice.
Those left to cherish her memory are sister Lila Young and Patricia Neuner; brothers Don Smith and Calvin (Betty) Smith; son, Richard Clevenger; daughters, Theresa (Victor) Clevenger and Danika (Jason) Durham; grandchildren Ashley Parker, Anthony (Heather) Ramsey, Jennica Gomez, Kayla (la Quentin) Jenkins, Natalie (Josh) Kendall, Matthew and Cassidy Durham; great-grandchildren Zaiden, Gia, Autumn, Amily, Ava and Aliyah.
Special thanks to Bishop and first lady Wilson and Halawa Citadel of Faith for caring for us during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to pastors’ medical bills in care of The Tabernacle where Sharon was a member for several years.
Please join us at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at The Tabernacle, 1301 S 11th St., Gadsden, AL 35904. Pastor Johnny Johnson officiating the service.
