Chiyoko Tsuchiya Ness
(December 1, 1934 – October 22, 2018)

Chiyoko Ness, 83, of Pensacola, FL peacefully passed to be with her Spiritual family. She was born in Yamanashi, Japan and lived in Honolulu, Hawaii (Barbers Point), before coming to Pensacola, FL. Chiyoko believed and was a practicing Buddhist, who saw the good in everyone she met.

She loved her children, grandchildren, and her two great grandchildren. Chiyoko was a family woman, who loved all. She always would say, “Be nice to people, you never know what’s going on.”
Chiyoko lost her little sister during the HiroShima and Nagasaki bombings. She worked on the farm with her family in her home town village Yamasaki, Nakano- mura Yamanashi-ken, Japan.

When she was a bit older, she worked as Secretary at the U.S. Naval Air Station in Atsugi, Japan. Moving to Pensacola, she worked as housekeeper for Perdido Key Resort. Chiyoko achieved her certificate of Naturalization in Pensacola, FL on April 26, 2002.

Chiyoko is preceded in death by her loving parents Kanekichi and Moto Tsuchiya: 5 sisters; and 2 brothers all from Yamanaka Yamanshi-ken, Japan (Yamanakako- mura); George J. Ness.

She leaves to cherish her memories Four sisters, Tomiko Watanabe, Masae Sakamoto, Ayako Osada, and Kaneko Hada; sons, George R. Ness, Richard A. Ness; daughter, Bonnie Booth (Michael); grandchildren, Brianna Caro, Corey Ness (Jennifer), Summer Ness, Georgia Ness, Jordan Booth, and Kayla Booth; great grandchildren, Camden Williams, and Cara Ness, also numerous nieces and nephews; special companion, her dog Missy.

Her family would like to specially thank Dr. David Sheppard, Dr. Dissanayake, Angel Williamson, the Imaging Center, and Solaris Healthcare in Pensacola.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018, at Trahan Family Funeral Home in Pensacola, family will receive friends at 6:00 p.m., service will start at 7:00 p.m.
