Obituary for Frederick Charles Neveu

Frederick Charles Neveu
Fred was called home on Saturday, April 15, 2017, surrounded by his beloved Cathy and close friends, Dan and Heather Harriott. Fred was born to Phillip Charles Neveu and Betty Peterson Neveu – Who have preceded him in death. He is survived by his Life Partner Cathy Saunders and sister, Susan Neveu.
Being the son of a career Army Dad, Fred’s childhood consisted of living all over the world. One of his favorite childhood memories was living in Belgium and attending the International School of Brussels, Belgium. Upon returning to the states, Fred attended and graduated from Oconto Falls, WI High School. He then studied art at the prestigious Latham School of Art in Milwaukee, WI.
Fred then enlisted in the United States Air Force, spending 8 years in the Air Force Intelligence and 12 years as a Medical Illustrator. His illustrations live on in medical books at Mayo Clinic. He retired from the Air Force as a Master Sergeant in 1988.
Fred found his niche in the art world. His love of art will have a lasting impact on those who saw it and in those who knew him. His love of painting and design to model making cannot be denied. He, was by definition, a true artist. He also brought joy to many people with his quirky sense of humor. All who knew him soon realized he loved to party.
Fred moved to Pensacola, FL in 2004 and began a lucrative mural business. His favorite mural can still be seen on the East Wall of the Quayside Art Gallery in Pensacola, where he was a member and served on their board.

Fred’s life was forever changed when finding Cathy. They were blessed to share 6 years of true love and togetherness as soul mates. Together they enjoyed many activities such as; Bands on the Beach, socializing with friends, countless hours on the “Fred and Cathy Party Deck”, hosting numerous Green Bay Packer parties and participating as active members of the Krewe of Seville. Fred was heavily involved in float design and building. This culminated this year as being elected Krewe King.
Fred will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
